Ken Howard - Bleach, ink and paint on natural linen Showing at 7915 Big Bend
Blvd. (at the Homewatch Center) I have lived in Webster
Groves for 5 years but have lived in the St. Louis area for the past
18 years. For as long as I can remember I have been making art. Primarily
self taught, I have worked in many mediums. My recent work has been
focused on a discharge technique that works with bleach
on natural fiber cloth. Unlike traditional painting, I take color away
from the "canvas". Much of my work has to do with what is
not seen with the eye, but rather with intuition and intention. This
goes hand in hand with my other passion/career of massage therapy. I
find the body, mind, spirit connection to be the ultimate creative force
of which we have only begun to understand. Much of my work is done in
the abstract, but I enjoy branching out in different directions as well.
One of my favorite things to do is to design artwork for a specific
room or living space by working with the clients desire of mood,
color and personal energy. Please visit my website for more examples
of my work and for contact information.
